Hydrothermal
Biscuit Basin, Yellowstone
We drove through Yellowstone on 18 July 2024 on our way home from Colorado. The ONLY place we stopped in Yellowstone happened to be Biscuit Basin and we happened to be there there 5 days before a hydrothermal explosion occurred in Biscuit Basin’s Black Diamond Pool on 23 July 2024 and took out the boardwalk. I, unfortunately did not get any photos of Black Diamond Pool because I did not think it was very photogenic…. at least compared to the nearby Sapphire Pool.
